Visit Soul with Aloha & Spice in Waialae for your Southern Food Fix

After hearing quite the buzz on a fairly new restaurant that had the best fried chicken, I made it a point to visit Soul: Cuisine with Aloha and Spice in Kaimuki, near St. Louis Heights.

 

So what do they serve at Soul?  Well, as the name suggests, Soul centers around soul food, staples that have been common in Southern comfort foods.

Foods like fried chicken, collared greens, grits, gumbo, and jambalaya are just a few of the many dishes served at Soul.

Upon arriving, we found that parking was fairly difficult.  Being that the restaurant was sandwiched between other eateries, I can see how the parking lot would be full.

We were lucky to grab a spot right in front of Soul, but if parking is of concern, I would suggest parking across the street in the bottom half of the City Mill parking lot, which is paid parking for customers to restaurants like Soul.
